The Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mehrdad Bazrpash, announced that the regulations for supporting knowledge-based production and job creation in transportation, housing, and urban development sectors have been enacted. The primary goals of these regulations are to support knowledge-based companies in creating a unified, clean, safe, efficient, innovative, and smart transportation system to increase public transportation and play an effective role in transit and international trade. Other goals include supporting knowledge-based companies to increase the agility and efficiency of transportation, reduce environmental impacts and develop green public transportation. Additionally, the regulations aim to optimize energy use, accelerate the reconstruction of deteriorating urban areas, extend the lifespan of buildings, and develop smart Iranian-Islamic cities and future cities.
